Online Dating In The UK

By Jason King Online dating in the UK has gotten very popular in the last few years. The most in demand UK online dating service now has over 3 million members. The singles come from every major city in the UK so anyone has the opportunity of find romance by starting a relationship online. The UK is a tiny island compared to America so 3 million singles using the same online dating service is a high concentration of people. Everybody who uses these services should have plenty of singles living within a few miles of themselves. And if you live in a city you will be spoilt for choice. It doesn’t take long to out grow the bar and club scene so more UK singles are turning to online dating to find their ideal partner. It saves you a lot more money as well if your goal of going out is to try and start a meaningful relationship with someone you meet. Another advantage with dating online is you’re not trying to get to know someone who’s had too much to drink. How many singles wake up on a weekend and regret what’s happened the night before? And it was all because of too many drinks. Online dating lets you start enjoying your nights out again instead of focusing on getting a date for the following weekend. Why limit your choice of partners to one night club when you can put your profile in front of thousands of potential dates. And they’re all their looking for someone as well. You don’t have to guess if someone is single because they all are. There are plenty of UK online dating services to choose from so finding the most popular and user friendly is the first thing you need for a good start. Once you have read a few online reviews you should be able to narrow your choice down, and start looking for love and friendship. Once you have chosen your dating web site all you need to do is register an account, and create your online dating profile. This is probably the most difficult part, and it doesn’t take that long at all. Taking a bit more time on this than 90% of other UK singles will give you a much better chance of being contacted by another single. You don’t want to rush your profile, and leave it empty otherwise it will just get ignored. The more UK singles that contact you will increase your chances of success at starting a relationship. Online dating in the UK starts of with some sort of free trial. Some dating agencies will let you use more features than others during this period. And other web sites will let you use them for a longer time period. This is where you can see if you get on with the dating web site, and find out if their are enough singles living near you using the service. Once you have found the online dating web site that will give you results all you will need to do is upgrade your membership and start contacting other UK singles. For the price of an online dating membership it will be worth it. You want to get that special single’s attention, and start a relationship before someone else does. 3 Simple Rules For Marketing Yourself

By Debbie LaChusa So you’ve decided to hang out your shingle as a solo-professional. You’ve decided to leave behind the safety and security of a steady paycheck in exchange for the thrill and excitement of entrepreneurship. As you may have already figured out, opening up for business involves more than just being good at offering your services. You also now bear the responsibilities of managing that business and all that entails, from accounting to marketing and everything in between. There is certainly a lot you need to know to be successful in business. But when it comes to marketing, there are some basics that can help you get started on the right foot. Here are the 3 most important things you need to know when marketing yourself as a solo-professional. 1) Make sure you project a professional image These days it’s so easy and cheap to open up your own business. While this is good because the barrier to entry is low, it also has its downside. Too many people don’t project a professional image because they are using free email services, they don’t have a professional-looking logo, and they are cutting corners by printing their own business cards and brochures on their inkjet printer. There are certainly many ways to market yourself for little to no money, but it is important to invest in the basics. Just because it’s just you working out of your home, doesn’t mean your business should look like a hobby. If you want to be taken seriously, you need to look like a serious business. 2) You must establish yourself as an expert If you are a solo-professional offering services, one of the best ways to market yourself is to take steps to establish yourself as an expert. That means writing articles, getting yourself quoted in the media, doing speaking engagements, and using other marketing activities that shine the spotlight on you as an expert in your field. This will help distinguish you from all the other solo-professionals in your field. When given the choice, who do you think people want to hire? A nobody, or someone who has established themselves as an expert in their field? 3) You must target target target! One of the biggest marketing mistakes I see solo-professionals make is that they try to be everything to everyone. They haven’t clearly identified who their ideal clients are and they are spreading their marketing all over the place. Not only does this waste valuable time and money, it won’t get you the results you want. You need to be very clear about WHO you are trying to reach, WHERE they can be found and WHAT you are going to say to them to convince them to buy. And, if you’re working on a shoestring budget, it becomes even MORE important. Your Marketing Step Take a look at how you are currently marketing yourself. Are you following these 3 simple rules? Or… Have you tried to cut corners and sadly your image reflects that? Are you trying to market quietly instead of putting yourself out there boldly as an expert? Does your marketing lack focus…are you just throwing it all over the place in the hope something will stick? Take steps to put these 3 important rules into place for your business. And, it won’t be long before you start reaping the results. Debbie LaChusa created The 10stepmarketing System to make marketing your own business as simple as answering 10 questions. Twenty First Century Lies The Slaughtering of Accountability

By Michael Bresciani A boy went flying down the staircase from his room and after finding his mother busy in the kitchen he blurted out a question with great earnest and urgency. Mother he saidis it true what the preacher says at funerals about us when he says we are going from ashes to ashes and dust to dust? His mother pondered the question for a moment and repliedyes that is true son. The boy took only a few seconds to think of his mothers answer and then blurted outwell Ma you better come upstairs real quick because there is someone under my bed but Im not sure if they are coming or going. The question of our origins and our final destination has been more than a childs question to us since history began. The answers we provide ourselves are many and some of them could hardly satisfy a childs curiosity. We send multi billion dollar space craft to Mars trying to find clues about the origins of life in our solar system. We search religions and the supernatural in quest of the answer to what happens after life. More often than not we sail right by the answers that have already been provided especially if they cannot be scrutinized by our own science or human reasoning. It seems like one great open ended question that is up for grabs. Anyone can take a stab at the answer thus no answer is regarded more important than another. Since the answers are up for grabs that makes the question seem as if it isnt very important. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact it is one of the most important questions any individual may ever ask. The answer will determine more about our world than we could imagine. At this point you would expect me to identify my particular view based on where or with whom I stand. If I start by saying what the Christian view of the origin and final destination of man is you may not even bother to finish this paragraph. Who is not familiar with the biblical view of life and death? Of course there will always be those who just dont give a damn about where we came from or where we are going. It is not the argument but genuine care for people that cause the true believer not to give a damn that they dont give a damn. More often than not it would not be expressed this way but maybe it should be. God does not have a view. If God had opinions and viewpoints wed all be sunk. We would have to stumble through life like a man driving down a dark mountain pass late at night in the fog on a road with no painted lines to help guide the car. We would endlessly debate the true meaning of the ten suggestions or the beatitudes if you can handle it ideas. We could create a whole new ocean of new religions in which to sink or swim. Drowning would be normal. God has been very clear about the origin and destination of mankind. He is also makes it very clear that agnosticism, atheism and unbelief in general is a choice not the natural concomitant to the lack of humanly acquired answers about the beginnings or the outcome of life. God says he made the earth and every living creature on it and that one day he will visit it again and hold us accountable for what we have done with our planet and our lives. This is called accountability. Late in the last century two grand musings were presented to the world that have gained wide acceptance. They are of course the theory of evolution and the idea of interstellar space travel. How convenient that these two answers have come just in time to help a world spiraling out of control to have answers that trump God and handily remove all accountability to him in one sweeping new wind from the devices of the heart section of our philosophies. If we came from the lonely amoeba swimming about in the primordial ooze and evolved to our present grandiose state, then we dont have to answer to God. Conversely if we are to just fly off into space and colonize infinite planets to further the human race then we wont ever have to answer to God after life. There would be no after life but only the continuation of life elsewhere in the great somewhere in the sky (space). Whew! Sounds a lot like the gospel of secular humanity and I can almost hear someone voicing a strong amen from out there somewhere. God says He is not just telling the truth but He is the truth and that truth was also embodied in his only begotten Son. John14:6 Lies also have a source according to God. They come from Gods enemy the devil. No, not the horned red faced and pitch forked demon from the comics or folklore but the covering and brilliant intelligence the scriptures refer to as the God of this world 2Corinthians 4:4. In fact he is not just a good liar; he is the father of lies John 8:44. Sure the Devil may be the inspiration for the lies you told your mother about skipping school or the fibs you told your girlfriend about kissing Suzie behind the bleachers but dont be fooled he has much bigger fish to fry and he is a diligent cook. The garden variety lies are endless like robbing banks will make you rich and happy, pornography will excite you and help fulfill your otherwise dull life, a great political ideology will finally bring peace to the earth, etc, etc, etc. But just before the judgments of God take place and Christ returns the Devil pulls out all the stops. In order to solidify the world with one mind and one pervasive secular world view he introduces the two most dastardly lies of any generation in history. The wise of this world think that they wont let the notion of an unknowable and un-seeable God make fools of them. At the same time they are letting an un-seeable entity (Satan) make monkeys of them in the most literal sense of the word through a vehicle known as the evolutionary model. The god of this world caps off his greatest deception by providing the wildest imaginations with ideas of Klingons, Vulcans and Kardacians living together with humans in a happily ever after world of the future. Sometimes I wish I could whisk about and visit every person who just sat down in front of the TV to watch an episode of Star Trek or some nature program filled with great swelling statements about what took place four hundred million years ago. And much like the minister I heard about who approached a scoffing prison inmate after he screamed out there is no God you idiot I would say hey, did you know that you were in the Bible? The prisoner said show me where I am in the pages of the bible and I might believe in God too. The minister read to him from Psalms 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. God has been clear that anyone who seeks Him will find Him. I think we not only know that but we know where to look for him. This idea is given credence every time someone cries out to God when in extreme danger or despair. Never has it been heard that the soldiers crouching in a foxhole encompassed and outnumbered by their enemies decided to call out to the great one cell amoeba of the past or the future brother hood of humans, Kardacians and Vulcans. Jewish New Year Dinner Ideas

By Nicola Kennedy Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, which is celebrated for two days in either the month of September or the month of October, depending on the year. They are the first two days found on the Jewish calendar. When Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah, it can be both a joyful time and a solemn time. When Jewish persons go to synagogue during this time, they are often praying for forgiveness for their sins of the past year. This theme is stressed greatly just 10 days later, on Yom Kippur. Dinners during Rosh Hashanah are almost always joyful. The foods offered focus on the sweet, in hopes that those consuming the food will have a sweet New Year. Fruits, sweet vegetables and honey abound in Jewish dishes for Rosh Hashanah. Even their main dishes on these days contain many of these items. Many believe that these menu items were created for the kids who are celebrating. Happiness = Honey Custom on Rosh Hashanah sprinkles honey into the mix liberally. You can find many traditional recipes with honey, like honey cakes. However, honey is also used during the main courses of the meal. Honey can often be found as a dip during this celebration, with items like apples and challah being dipped to start off the meal. Honey holds a deep meaning to Jews, as in the bible Israel is described as the Land of Milk and Honey. This, of course, meant it was a prosperous land. Honey symbolizes the good life, even today. Wealth = Carrots You will find carrots in the meals served for Rosh Hashanah since they represent prosperity. If you look at a bowl of carrot slices, they resemble a bowl full of gold coins. Recipes exist that use carrots as a garnish, as a main entre and as a side dish for the Rosh Hashanah meal. Other vegetables you will often seen used are the sweet potato and summer squash. Again, this is due to their sweet taste. Many times these vegetables are sweetened even more with a honey glaze. Sweet Future = Fruits Apples dipped in honey are a common tradition during the Rosh Hashanah feasts. However, other fruits are often served during the meal. Fruit can appear anywhere, even in the main dish. Many fruits are served cooked, and fruits like prunes can even be cooked into a stew! Nicola always enjoys celebrating Rosh Hashanah. Students in Private Colleges

By George Lunt Until recently I have taught technology classes including networking, web programming, web design, and others at a private corporate run college. I prefer not to divulge the name at this time. You’ve probably seen their advertisements on national television, since they have many schools scattered all over the United States. My involvement was with their school situated in the Chicago area. This school was mainly filled with high school graduates from Chicago and its suburbs. I want to tell you about some of the problems I experienced with students at this school. Many of the instructors that I’ve worked with as well as others that I know from similar schools had comparable experiences. The main reason I’m so opposed to our global corporate culture is because it sets man’s primary goal as financial wealth but pretends that it is some common good. This is why the majority of students choose a private college. One of the school’s sales staff convinces them that they’ll make a lot of money upon graduation. They either may have a mild or no interest in what they need to study. Some have no prior skills in their field of choice. They are told they don’t need to know anything, but they’ll be taught every skill needed for their success. They can afford all this education by taking out a government backed financial loan. The college expects its instructors to open the heads of their students and fill them with knowledge. Standardized tests in high schools give the average student the idea that the answer to a question is more important than understanding what the question is about. Students then refuse to be challenged. If the problem takes longer than five minutes to solve, they demand the answer. The words “You gotta give me the answer, cause I’m paying this school thirty-thousand dollars!” seem to echo throughout the halls of private colleges. No instructor has ever withheld an answer to an assignment. Instead the instructor first wants the student to attempt the solution by himself or herself. In so doing, the student develops the most useful part of the educational experience, the problem solving ability. Most of the time the instructor gives helpful hints as the student searches for the answer. Students seem to ignore what they’re expected to learn, but they’re constantly concerned about their grade. It’s nice to have a good grade point average, but it’s even nicer to gain a good grasp of what is being taught. It looks like TV has had a real effect on today’s student. Because TV watching is a passive event, students expect their education to be passive as well. Students want to sit back and watch while their instructor amuses them. So what students really want is an entertainer instead of a teacher. If they were studying quantum physics, the students of today would prefer an instructor like Jay Leno rather than one like Albert Einstein. When dealing with history, politics, or literature it’s easier for an instructor to develop an entertaining approach, but how can one make a programming class fun? Even if the subject of the program is humorous, the actual programming requires some thinking which today’s students were conditioned to avoid. Because students can’t get deeply involved in what their supposed to be learning, they avoid studying and doing their homework as much as possible. In classrooms where computers are available, they use instant messaging to have on line conversations with their friends while the instructor is lecturing. They skip a lot of classes but remain in school so they can graduate and get that high paying job they were promised. To get the students to pass the class, a multiple choice test is given for which they are well rehearsed. Most pass with high marks, but some still fail. If you know anything about education, you know that the majority of learning comes from a person’s own efforts. You must do the studying while the school is there to help you as you evolve from confusion to understanding. A school can issue a degree validating that you’ve indeed learned the principles of your chosen field. In today’s competitive world, it’s very hard to find a job without some sort of degree or certificate. Sometimes the high tuition is worth it, if the expected knowledge is really attained. Are there students going to private colleges that are highly motivated and are excellent learners? Of course there are. I’ve seen students that are every bit as good if not better than MIT students. But they are in the minority. Some of them did not go to US high schools but graduated from schools in countries like India or Poland. American high school graduates are able to master some computer related subjects. Computer and Xbox game playing, instant messaging, email, web surfing, and blogging are their best subjects. Unfortunately, they’re not part of the curriculum. Of the actual subjects taught, about half can do basic HTML and simple networking. Except for the gifted students, virtually no one can really program in any common compiled or scripting language. However, almost everyone passes these classes, sometimes even with high marks. If you plan on starting a career in a computer related field here is some advice. Before going to a private college, ask yourself how much you know about what you intend to study. If you know nothing, then go to the internet and try reading about it and doing some tutorials. If this doesn’t interest you, find something that does. Invest in a good computer or two (if you want to study networking). Get a DSL or Cable internet connection. If you can’t afford broadband or it’s not available in your area, at least, get a dial-up connection. Look into open source software if proprietary software costs too much. I’ve encountered students taking web design who didn’t have a computer or internet connection, so they couldn’t practice what they were taught or do their assignments at home. If you have a hard time learning the basics take some remedial courses at a community college. You might even consider a degree from there. Tuition at community colleges is a lot less than that of private colleges and often they teach the same material. Get certification books in your field of interest and find similar material on the internet. If you study hard enough, you can get certified without any formal training. Certification tests usually cost around one hundred dollars. Make sure you’re really prepared so you don’t waste your money. Sometimes having a certification can land you an entry level job better than a degree from a private college. Remember, if you want to launch an interesting career, there is no easy way to succeed. You simply have to work hard for it. George Lunt is someone who feels the world is getting too corporate. His writings relate the individual’s struggle with big government and big corporations. Religion And Violence

By Charles Sabillon History has recorded so many wars that were caused by religion, that it is impossible to enumerate them all. One would probably require numerous tomes just to annotate the names of all those conflicts. In the early stages of human existence, during the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods, tens of thousands of religious wars were fought. However, we will never know a thing about them because they went unrecorded due to the absence of writing in those archaic times. In more recent eras, such as the last two thousand years, there have been countless violent conflicts between different creeds. Fortunately, those were well documented. The first confrontation between Christianity and Islam occurred in 645, when the newly formed Muslim armies tried to overrun the Byzantine Empire. Then came the Muslim invasion of the Iberian Peninsula, then the Crusades, then the conquering drive of the Ottoman Turks into the Mediterranean, then the push of Czarist Russia into Ottoman territories, then the imperialist drive of Europe into the Middle East, and then the War on Terror. The first clash between Judaism and Christianity took place two thousand years ago, but soon the new religion consolidated its power in Europe and since then it instigated official and unofficial pogroms against the Jews. The most costly in human lives was the Spanish Inquisition in the fifteenth century. That inter-creed confrontation experienced no respite and continued into the twentieth century, when Nazi Germany pursued to exterminate the Jews and the Vatican showed sympathy for what the fascists were doing. The Orthodox Christians were hardly any different from their Western counterparts and in Russia there were numerous religiously inspired anti-Jewish pogroms. Since the death of Mohammed in 632, Muslim armies systemically expanded the territories under their control and in the early sixteenth century they took over northern India. That obviously translated into a clash with Hindu armies. The warring among Islam and Hinduism continued in the following centuries and not even when Britain ruled the subcontinent, did it stop. That is why in 1947, when the British granted independence, the Muslims demanded that India be broken up so that they could have a nation of their own. Despite the territorial partition, as soon as the British withdrew, a war erupted and in the decades that followed there were two others. Hinduism and Islam are the two largest religions of South Asia, but there are others and violence among them has also been regular. In India, there have been constant clashes throughout the centuries between Sikhs and Hindus, Animists and Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs, and in between other confessions. In Sri Lanka, Buddhists and Hindus have fought for centuries and since 1983 a brutal civil war has claimed tens of thousands of lives. The above are just some of the numerous long term religious confrontations that the world has witnessed in the past two millennia, but there have been many more. What history shows is that religions inherently drive people towards violence. To argue that it is not religion per se the one perpetrating the violence, is the equivalent of saying that lions and bears are not intrinsically brutal. To assert that it is men and not the belief in God what drive people towards violence, is the same as saying that if there were no humans on Earth, there would be no war. Of course there would be no war if the planet was uninhabited. Such statements are as inconsistent as saying that the addition of two and two is a thousand. But that should not surprise us because that is how religious people argue. Their world is one of convoluted ideas and their reasoning lacks all logic and all coherence. A person must have a very chaotic brain to dare say that thousands of years in which all religions constantly drove nations into war, is not an indication of their inherent violent nature. Charles Sabillon did High School in Texas and has undergraduate degrees in Philosophy, Economics and Law as well as a masters and a doctorate in International Relations. After the PhD, he undertook post-doctoral research in the fields of History, Economics, and Ecology. He has taught Economic History at a university in Switzerland and speaks fluently English, Spanish, French and German. Loans for Self Employed Tenants: Loans Meant For Non-Homeowner Entrepreneurs

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Christian_Phelps]Christian Phelps These types of loans are generally meant for self employed people who dont have a fixed source of income, and dont have any collateral either so that it can be used as security against the loans they are applying for. One of the most striking features of loans for self employed tenants is that even if you fail to meet the deadlines, due to reasons whatsoever, you would not have to pay the penalty for this. The process is also hassle free because there is less paper work involved as no property assessment for the requisite collaterals is to be done here. Besides this, this loan is available for people with bad credit too. Only the following criteria must be satisfied:- Must have full time employment Existence of a contact number Proper identity and address proof A direct debt card acceptance facility should be attached with borrowers bank account. Not long ago, giving loans to self employed tenants was considered pretty risky as there was no collateral involved and hence no feeling of security among lenders, but now the situation has changed and there are many companies who are trying to lure potential borrowers with their attractive schemes. These loans are very easily available and not much complicated because less paper work is involved. The approval process is pretty fast too. Now days many online lenders are also offering loans for self employed ones and it is very easy to gather information about them. You should check most of the options before deciding where to apply, because having more than one option always helps. Loans for self employed tenants: amount and repayments The loan amount varies from 1000 to 50000, but it is decided on the borrowers income. The repayment period is 5-25 years. This shows that these loans is quite flexible and provide the borrower with many options so that he or she can choose the one suiting their needs the best. Another option is cheap tenant loans which are very easy to avail but usually have much higher interest rates. Therefore it is advised that you gather all information before going ahead for the tenant loans. One better thing is that if you pay your monthly repayments on time then it enhances your credit history. Though it is true that self employed loan borrower have to pay a little more higher interest rates but they do enjoy certain privileges too, they can underpay in some month then can overpay in another and can also enjoy certain payment holidays after some time period during which they need to be regular. Use of Self Employed Tenant Loans Self employed tenant loans can be used for various purposes, for example *for consolidating your earlier debts *investing in any property *making a holiday trip *repairing your credit scores *for wedding, educational or health bills And many more.
